Just a rant thread for folks to get stuff off their chests. Does not have to be pagan or magic oriented, feel free to post about anything that's just annoyed you. Don't break the forum rules however!

I'll make a start. Why oh why do people in the gym I go to seem incapable of turning the showers off after they've finished? Water costs money, and that cost is reflected in the price of the gym membership. Also clean water is not a limitless resource, we're very lucky to have it. It's just so wasteful and it really winds me up! Ok, I'm done.

I am English, and I live in England. It really annoys me when TV presenters, and others in the media, refer to the United Kingdom as "our country" or "the country". They seem to be totally unaware that the UK is four, very different, countries. England,Scotland,Wales and Northern Ireland. I wish they would get it right!

Totally agree with you there Brysing, I'm Scottish and I like to be classed as Scottish not British which is another way they have of lumping us altogether in the one category, I'm sure people in England like to be referred to as English, people in Wales as Welsh, and people in Ireland as Irish! How classing us all as British is absurd.

Ah,yes! Now, British. As the UK is a union with a central government, I think of my Nationality as British, but my country as England. All documents now do not recognise English. You may be Scottish, Welsh, Irish, or British! English, apparently does not exist! After the last election I wrote to the new Prime Minister (David Cameron; Scottish!) and asked a question. Ask any Scotsman, Welshman, Irishman or Englishman, "What is the name of your country?" Do you think they would say "Britain" ? I didn't get an answer to my letter.
