My name is Brian Dickinson. I was educated at a Catholic school, but was disillusioned by the age of fourteen/fifteen. I studied most of the mainstream religions, but didn't find what I was looking for. In the meantime, I was visiting a lady with whom I had lived whilst evacuated during WW2. She had always seemed a bit "strange", and during a visit in 1949 I asked her if she was a witch. She told me not to broadcast such a thing, as it was against the law at that time. After I left the Army in 1954, witchcraft had become legal. And I was initiated in 1955 by the lady I had known since I was five years old. I have nearly always practised alone; and sometimes with my teacher. Around about 1965-6 I read some of the teachings of Gerald Gardner,Alex Sanders, Aleister Crowley. But I still practised as I had been taught; a very simple craft, much more like Druidry than Gardner. Not so much ritual!. The reason I practised alone is because I was a professional entertainer, and was hardly ever in one place long enough to find a coven! Three years ago, after I retired, I bought this computer; and it has only been in the past few months that I found out there were so many Pagans in the world! So not only am I new to being on-line; I am new to all the many "paths" of Paganism!

My name is Kimberly. I live in the Deep South and the lifestyle has shaped my mentality a bit, as I followed (and led) my husband into Catholicism. He would not let me practice Islam. I have been part of many organized Christian religions, all the while knowing the mystic existed and I was part of it. I am still Christian, so to speak, but I will call corners if I think it's necessary. I call up God the Father and Mother Mary. I have made up spells or charms as I went along, so I never belonged or studied with a coven. I am eclectic so it is hard to fit in many places. I hope to find great conversation, ideas, and advice. Oh, and friends. ;D

It's nice hearing from you all. I've printed out the Wicca 102 from the Coven website. I'm looking forward to completing the lessons.
